Mobitel ties up with ANCL to launch ‘e-Mobile Adz’
Mobitel recently tied up with the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL), one of the country’s leading media houses to offer ‘e-Mobile Adz’ a unique SMS-based system for placing classified advertisements in ANCL newspapers. Dialog and Etisalat also partnered with ANCL on this initiative.
Classified ads containing up to 45 words, can now be placed in ANCL newspapers by customers with a Mobitel, Dialog or Etisalat connection (post-paid or pre-paid) – by dialing #429#.
The service is currently available via SMS and a free Android App will be launched shortly. It will be extended to all Sinhala and English newspapers published by the ANCL in the near future. Apart from the normal charge for the advertisement(s), there will be no additional charges.
This is yet another innovative customer-focused initiative by ANCL, which has always been at the forefront of technology. ANCL is the pioneer in classified advertising in Sri Lanka and this latest partnership signifies ANCL’s commitment to serve its readership and clients through the convergence of traditional and new methods of communication.
The groundbreaking initiative will enable nearly 80% of the 20 million mobile subscribers throughout Sri Lanka to place classified advertisements in the Silumina and Sunday Observer, the weekend Sinhala and English newspapers with the largest circulation through their mobile phones by following a few easy steps.
