For the first time in Sri Lanka, the National Mobile Service Provider, Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel launched a NFC (Near Field Communication) based loyalty programme – the Club Magnate loyalty programme. This ground-breaking product is yet another innovative addition to the Telco’s growing portfolio.
With NFC technology soon becoming ubiquitous in the global ICT industry – Mobitel takes pride in being the first Mobile Service Provider to launch a unique loyalty programme like this. Club Magnate offers an array of benefits and discounts to its post-paid and prepaid customers through a comprehensive partner merchant network. Mobitel’s Club Magnate members simply have to produce their loyalty card to the respective merchant’s cashier which will be tapped on the NFC enabled payment Point of Sales (POS) machine to redeem the entitled offer.

The first rewards discounts via the Club Magnate loyalty programme was availed by a Mobitel customer at the Sarasavi Bookshop in Nugegoda.
