Terms & Conditions

Senehase Upahara Broadband customers can upgrade their package to the “Upahara Internet” Package free of charge, and the joining fee of rs.1,000/- will be waived off.

However if Senehase Upahara Broadband customers wish to make use of the special dongle offer when upgrading to “Upahara Internet”, the joining fee of Rs.1,000/- is required to be paid.

Dongle Offer :

  • Dongle price is embedded in the rental for existing post-paid customers who were in the network for more than 2 years
  • The customer has to sign a 24 month contract agreement

Conditions :
  • Within a period of 24 hrs, the average download speed of the service between any two time slots of 60 minutes time interval should be maintained (Single TCP secession to a server or servers designated by the TRCSL) on or above 30% from the advertised bandwidth.
  • The operator should refund the connection charge, unconditionally, within a period of 30 days, if the subscriber decides to terminate the contract that he has entered in to, due to unsatisfactory QoS levels.
  • The operator should provide real time web metering facility for subscribers to check their data consumption. If the service provider wishes to introduce broadband packages which categorically bind the usage with the time of the day, subscribers should be provided with a web metering facility or a web based tool to track their usage on-line. This facility should provide detail records to the subscriber about their usage which shows data consumption separately for each time period or band as specified in the package.
  • If the operator wishes to lock the hardware device or the Dongle, it should be clearly communicated to the customer at the point of sale. When issuing a network locked dongle, the “effective period of locking” should be clearly stated in the written communication to the customer.
  • The operator should unlock the device or the dongle at the end of contract period.
  • The conditions of approval must be published along with the details of the package in your website.

  2. What is the 30 day Money Back Guarantee Offer?

    If the subscriber is unhappy with the quality of service, the subscriber has the option of returning the dongle upon disconnection within a period of 30 days from the date of activation or package changed. In return Mobitel will return the joining fee plus the price of the dongle minus any outstanding due amount.

    This amount will be couriered via cheque or credited to the customers bank account. In this case, the customer has to visit any Mobitel outlet; Branch/SLT/Singer Mega to return the dongle. The dongle cannot be returned to Dealer points.

  3. What is UPAHARA Internet?

    It is a Mobile Broadband (Internet Package) that has been designed exclusively for the State Sector Employees & Government Pensioners in appreciation of their service provided, which will be offered by Mobitel Pvt Ltd in partnership with Ministry of Telecommunication & Information Technology

  4. What is the package design & charges that is applicable for this package?

    The tariff structure and the package design applicable for UPAHARA Internet will be as follows.

  5. What happens to Senehase UPAHARA with the launch of UPAHARA Internet?

    Senehase UPAHARA will remain as it is, giving the customer the choice of remaining in Senehase UPAHARA, or upgrading to the UPAHARA Internet package upon request.

  6. Currently I am on a Senehase UPAHARA Broadband package. Will I automatically be upgraded to UPAHARA Internet?

    NO, you have the choice of either upgrading to the UPAHARA Internet package upon request (A request letter needs to be submitted) or remain in SenehaseUpahara.

  7. WillSenehase UPAHARA be open to customers to subscribe for upon launch of UPAHARA Internet?

    Disconnected customers who were on SenehaseUpahara can reconnect their SenehaseUpahara broadband subline if they wish.

  8. Who is eligible to subscribe to UPAHARA Internet?
    • State sector employees

  9. Who is eligible for the FREE Dongle offer?

    Either an Upahara voice customer, SenehaseUpahara customer or an existing Mobitel customer who has stayed continuously in the Mobitel network paying a minimum rental of Rs.200/- for 2 years or more; that falls under either one of the following categories is eligible for the FREE dongle offer.

    • State sector employees

  10. Currently I am on a UPAHARA voice connection. What is the procedure for me to subscribe for a UPAHARA Internet connection?

    Same procedure as for a new customer that is subscribing for UPAHARA Internet prevails, except for the fact that existing UPAHARA voice customers receives the dongle free of charge and the 30 Day Money Back Agreement needs to be signed. In addition a copy of the Institute Government ID/Pension Slip needs to be produced.

    • Call over in person at a Mobitel Center
    • Produce either your NIC/Valid Passport/Driving License and Institute Government ID
    • Be willing to be photographed
    • Provide service particulars that is valid to confirm the employment status as a Government Employee/Pensioner (Institute Government ID/Pension Slip) - (Even Existing Upahara/BBUPA Customers Need to resubmit this)
    • Make one-time payment of Rs.1,000/- as joining fee
    • Produce billing proof (For new customers only)
    • Fill in alteration forms
    • Signthe customer agreement which includes details of; 30 Day Money Back Guarantee & 2 year Free Dongle Contractual Agreement
  11. What is the 2 year contract agreement?

    Customers who purchase the dongle needs to sign up for a 2 year contract (Details are included in the 30 Day Money back Agreement). If a customer deactivates the connection within the 2 year contractual period , the remaining term value will be added to the bill (calculated as Rs.100/= × remaining number of months) and the 2 year contract will be terminated. The fee will be charged in the bill as “Dongle Fee”.

  12. Currently I am on an UPAHARA voice connection and I want to subscribe for an UPAHARA Internet connection. Do I still have to pay a joining fee?

    Yes, as UPAHARA Internet works independently from UPAHARA voice, and refundable deposit is been waived off, the joining fee of Rs. 1000/- needs to be paid.

  13. Currently I am on Senehase UPAHARA and I want to do a package change to UPAHARA Internet. What is the procedure?

    Same procedure as for a new customer that is subscribing for a UPAHARA Internet prevails. However the customer has the option of either taking or not taking the free dongle offer. If the customer does not take the free dongle offer, the joining fee of Rs.1000/= need not be paid for.

  14. When I do a package change from Senehase UPAHARA to UPAHARA Internet, am I eligible to obtain the dongle free of charge?

    In order obtain the dongle free of charge you need to pay the Joining fee of Rs.1000/=

  15. I was on an UPAHARA voice connection and disconnected it some time back. Can I subscribe for a UPAHARA Internet connection?

    Yes, provided that at the time of connection, you have no outstanding value and have settled all your accounts with Mobitel.

  16. I was on an UPAHARA voice connection and disconnected it some time back. Am I eligible to obtain the dongle free of charge?

    If you are to obtain the dongle free of charge;

    Firstly check if you fit in for FREE dongle offer eligibility criterion and if so reconnect your UPAHARA voice connection and pay a joining fee of Rs. 1,000/= and subscribe for the UPAHARA Internet connection

  17. How can I subscribe to the package?
    • Call over in person at Mobitel Centre
    • Produce your NIC/Valid Passport/Driving License and Institute/Government ID
    • Be willing to be photographed or bring a passport size photograph
    • Service particulars that is valid to confirm the employment status as a government servant/Pensioner (Institute, Government ID/Pension Slip)
    • Fill in duly filled application form, agreement form & necessary supporting documents
    • Make one-time payment of Rs. 1000/= as joining fee
    • Produce billing proof (For new customers only, not required for pensioners provided billing address is same as the address stated in the pension slip)

  18. How many connections can I obtain, under this scheme?

    Any State sector employee or Government pensioner can subscribe to one connection only.

    • Customers who are eligible for the FREE dongle offer:
      These customers will incur a total cost of Rs. 1,000/- upfront. (Joining Fee: Rs. 1,000/- )
    • Customers who are not eligible for the free dongle offer:

  19. What are the documents that I have to bring when subscribing for UPAHARA Internet?

    You are required to bring in;

    • Produce your NIC/Valid Passport/Driving License and Institute/Government ID
    • Be willing to be photographed or bring a passport size photograph
    • Service particulars that is valid to confirm the employment status as a government servant/Pensioner (Institute, Government ID/Pension Slip/Voucher)
    • Produce billing proof (For new customers only)
  20. Can the connection be transferred to another (ownership transfers)?

    The connection cannot be transferred to another and hence should not be held by a person other than its registered owner.

  21. I am already a Mobitel Broadband subscriber. Can I change my existing Mobitel package to UPAHARA Internet connection?

    Yes, you can, provided you are a State sector employee or a Government pensioner. A joining fee of Rs. Rs.1, 000/= will apply if the customer wishes to take the free dongle offer.

  22. I am already a Mobitel Pre-Paid subscriber. Can I carry forward my present Pre-Paid number when changed to an UPAHARA Internet connection?

    Yes. However the SIM card will need to be changed and you need to follow the standard number portability migration procedure from Pre-Paid to Post Paid with the required documents and a joining fee of Rs.1, 000/=.

  23. What is my Credit Limit?

    Your Initial credit limit will be set at Rs.1,000/=

  24. Currently I am on a UPAHARA voice connection. When I subscribe for the Upahara Internet package, can I subscribe for it under same Upahara voice connection account?

    Yes

  25. Can I activate voice on data?

    Yes, you can. SMS act voice to 2545.

  26. Can I activate Late Night Internet Plans on UPAHARA Internet?

    No, Upahara Internet customers cannot activate this feature.

  27. Can I roam with my UPAHARA Internet Connection?

    Yes, however the deposits would apply for roaming.

  28. From where can I subscribe for Upahara Internet?

  29. Does rental prorating apply?

    Yes, rental will be prorated however you will have the advantage of enjoying the benefit of utilizing the full bundle without it being prorated.

  30. Are new customers to UPAHARA Internet that is not eligible for the FREE dongle offer requested to sign off a contractual agreement with Mobitel for the dongle?

    Yes, they need to sign the customer agreement which has details of the the 30 Day Money Back Guarantee Offer; however theyare not bound to stay within the network for a minimum 2 year contract period.

  31. How does the 30 Day Money Back Guarantee Offer work?
    1. Customers who were eligible for the FREE dongle offer

      If the customer disconnects the package within 30 days, the customer has the option of returning the dongle and receive the joining Fee of Rs. 1000/- (If any outstanding prevails, the outstanding amounts will be setted off).

    2. Customers that were eligible for the dongle priced at Rs. 1,490

      If the customer disconnects the package within 30 days, the customer has the option of returning the dongle and receive Rs. 1,490/- that was spent on the dongle + the joining Fee of Rs. 1000/- (If any outstanding prevails, the outstanding amounts will be setted off).

  32. Are package changes allowed?

    Yes, package changes are allowed. However when a package change is done from any other broadband package to Upahara Internet, Upahara Internet Package change will be made effect at 12 Midnight of that respective day. Rental will be prorated and bundle will not be prorated.
