1. What is meant by Online Payment through mCash?
 
You can now shop online to purchase various goods and services from Online Merchants and pay using mCash.
 
2. How to increase mCash balance in the mCash Account?
 
You could simply walk in to any mCash Retail Point or Mobitel Branch / Singer Mega / SLT to Top Up your mCash Account. Or you could ask a friend and family member to P2P Transfer some money to you.
 
3. How do I make an Online payment using mCash?
You need to have mCash in your Mobile, so Top Up at any mCash Retail Point / Mobitel Branch / Singer Mega / SLT.
 
  • Step 01 – Visit the Merchant’s Website (eg: www.mystore.lk)
  • Step 02 -  Shop Online and proceed to the Check Out page
  • Step 03 -  Select mCash as the payment option
  • Step 04 -  Enter you Mobile Number and mCash PIN
  • Step 05 – Enter the 5 digit code (OTP) received via SMS
  • Step 06 – Confirm the Payment
  • Step 07 -  You will receive an SMS confirming the transaction
Thereafter you could contact the Merchant on their hotline with regard to receiving your goods/services.
 
4. Transaction is failing, why is that?
  • Insufficient Balance
Customer should be Registered for mCash and should have sufficient balance (‘Check Account Balance’ function under the Customer wallet)
  • Incorrect PIN or OTP (5 digit code)
Customer should enter the correct PIN on the IPG login page and then correctly enter the OTP (5 digit code) received via SMS to his/her phone.
  • Internet Connection
Customer should be connected to the internet and should use a suitable browser
  • Transaction Limit
Maximum Transaction Limit per day for a Basic Account holder Is Rs 10,000 and for an Enhanced Account its Rs 25,000.
 
 

Who is eligible for the Insurance Bill Wipe Out Promo?
  • Any customer who pays for their Life Insurance Premium via mCash ( Own Wallet ) or
  • Any customer  making cash payments for their Life Insurance Premium at any Mobitel Branch / Singer Mega / SLT or at appointed mCash Merchant Points
What is the validity period of the promotion?
 
1st February  2014 to 31st December 2014 ( Includes both days )
 
How do I make a payment using my Mobitel phone via mCash ?
 
Register your insurance policy for Institute Payments & make the payment via mCash as instructed below.
 
Manage Institutes List
 
Step 1: Dial #111# and select “Institute Payments”
Step 2: Select “Manage Institute List”
Step 3: Select “Add Institute List”
Step 4: Select “Insurance”
Step 5: Select the Insurance Company
Step 6: Enter your PIN
Step 7: Enter any name for your Policy
Step 8: Enter your Insurance Policy Number
Step 9: Re-Enter your Insurance Policy Number
Step 10: Confirm your Insurance Policy Number
Step 11: You will receive a SIX digit Reference Number for each registered Policy Number
 
Pay Institute
 
Step 1: Dial #111# and select “Institute Payments”
Step 2: Select Pay Institute
Step 3: Select “Insurance”
Step 4: Select the Institute you wish to make the payment to
Step 5: Enter your PIN
Step 6: Select the Policy Number you wish to make the payment to
Step 5: Enter the amount
Step 6: Confirm the Transaction
Step 7: You will receive a confirmation message upon a successful payment
 
How do I make a payment at any Mobitel Branch / Singer Mega / SLT ?
 
Step 1: Provide your Mobitel mobile number
Step 2: Provide your insurance Company Name
Step 3: Provide your Insurance Policy Number or Six Digit Reference Number
Step 4: provide the amount with the applicable transaction fee
Step 5: You will receive a confirmation message upon a successful payment
 
How do I make a payment at any appointed mCash Merchant Points?
 
Step 1: Provide your Mobile number (Any Mobile Number)
Step 2: Provide your insurance Company Name
Step 3: Provide your Insurance Policy Number
Step 4: provide the amount with the applicable transaction fee
Step 5: You will receive a confirmation message upon a successful payment
