All Mobitel connections are SMS Roaming enabled

All you need to do;

Type - 'ACT 1' and send to 9911 before departure.

• Before departure
  
  TYPE  ACT  and SEND to
  
  This should be done about half an hour prior to leaving Sri Lanka.
  This will disable calls, but will enable you to access SMS roaming while you are away.
• On arrival in Sri Lanka
  
  TYPE  DCT  and SEND to
  
  This will enable you to receive or make calls & SMS once you return to Sri Lanka

While roaming, if you wish to send an SMS to Sri Lanka, this could be done in any one of the following ways;
