What is the Mobitel Child Watch?
Mobitel has introduced a Child Watch specially designed to track the location of children and also provide a few key features to ensure the safety and security of children when they are away from home.
How can parents monitor their children using the watch?
Parents simply have to download the ‘WECARE’ app from any android device play store, register as per the prompts, and then pair the watch to the app (user manual given in annexure 1).
Is the WECARE app compatible with any other operating system?
No. Only for Android devices.
What is the price of the watch?

Does the customer have to sign a contract for the special package?
Yes customer has to sign a contract for 12 months on the Rs. 350 rental package.
Can the customer make a package change within these 12 months?
No. package changes will not be allowed.
Is there a penalty if the customer disconnects before the end of the contract period?
Yes. Customer will be charged Rs. 240 x remaining months upon disconnection.

Does the bundle carry forward to the next month if un-used?
No the bundle does not get carried forward to the next month.
What are the main features of the watch?
  • Store up to 10 SOS emergency contacts – only these 10 numbers (including admin) can call or SMS the phone and vice versa. 
  • SOS Button – When the child presses and holds the SOS button, alerts will be sent to the 10 numbers pre-programmed as SOS contacts.
  • GPS Location Tracking – parent can view where the child is when watch is with the child
  • Geo fencing – parents can define a geographic fence on the map shown in the app and get alerts if child steps out of this fence.
  • Alerts – alerts come directly to admin phone if battery is low and app switches off.
  • Footprint tracker – at the end of the day, parents can view on the WECARE app where the child has been throughout that day

Is the watch network locked to Mobitel?
Yes the watch is networked locked to Mobitel.
Where can the watch be purchased from?
Any Mobitel branch islandwide and selected SLT Teleshops and Singer Mega showrooms.

What is the warranty offered for the device?
Warranty if offered for a period of 1 year for manufacture defects only.
What are the terms and conditions of the offer?
  • Device price and package rates are subject to Government Taxes and Levies
  • Relevant surcharges will apply for credit card purchases
  • Credit card installments not offered
  • Stock availability at locations is subjected to the available stock at the given time – this applies for colours as well
  • Mobitel invoice and warranty card inside box has to be produced for warranty claims.
  • Customer has to sign 12 month contract for the special package and penalty applicable if customer disconnects before
